Open Letter to the Prime Minister

Dear Prime Minister, We write to you with great disappointment at the way in which you have openly supported Israel as it commits genocide and crimes against humanity.

We have followed your position closely regarding what has occurred and continues to unfold in Palestine and the region. We have observed your condemnation of "the evil committed by Hamas", however no such condemnation of the genocide and human rights abuses committed against the Palestinian people by the Israeli Government has ensued.

Prior to 7 October 2023 the Palestinian People have been subjected to: 75 years of military occupation, unprecedented in its brutality and ongoing nature. A cruel 16-year blockade on the 2.3 million residents of Gaza. 5.9 million Palestinians displaced. 6,407 Palestinians killed (excluding the latest assault) and 162,560 injured by Israel since 2008. 700,000 Israeli settlers living illegally in the occupied West Bank.

Since 7 October 2023: 4,137 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and the West Bank, including women and children.
