ICV City Mosque

The ICV City Mosque in West Melbourne is a place of worship, learning and connection for the thousands of Muslims who live, work and study in and around Melbourne’s CBD.

Led by the ICV Head Imam, the mosque also serves as a hub for many of the ICV’s community programs throughout the year.

Prayer times

The mosque is open year-round for the five daily prayers, and hosts four Jumu’ah sessions each Friday so worshippers can attend around work and study commitments.

Classes and mosque activities

Regular classes cover Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh and other Islamic sciences, offered at different levels and with sessions for brothers and sisters. Current class schedules are shared through ICV’s social media channels.

The mosque’s calendar goes well beyond the daily prayers — from guest lectures and spiritual gatherings to dedicated sisters’ events, wellbeing sessions and programs for converts to Islam. What’s on is shared on ICV’s social media channels.

ICV also offers free, confidential counselling with the ICV Head Imam, available by appointment.

Ramadan at the mosque

During Ramadan, the mosque comes alive with nightly Taraweeh prayers and community Iftars that bring families, students and city workers together to break their fast.
