Representation & Engagement
The ICV is the peak Muslim body in Victoria, representing approximately 270,000 Victorian Muslims across more than 100 ethnic communities through its network of 85+ member societies — mosques, Islamic centres and community organisations across the state. Supporting these societies is central to the ICV’s work.
Throughout the year, the ICV provides tailored support and advocacy for member societies, helping them navigate challenges and strengthen their operations, and representing their concerns through the appropriate channels.
Support for societies and office bearers
The ICV runs office bearer training for members, covering governance, regulatory compliance, taxation, grants and other issues relevant to running a community organisation. Member Society Forums provide a space for consultation and collaboration on shared priorities, and an exclusive member newsletter keeps societies informed and connected.
